Passionately Pink – "Know, Prevent, Cure"

A campaign for breast cancer awareness, prevention and cure!

Assunta Hospital has launched the Breast Cancer Campaign on 14th August 2008, thanks to Asia Assistance, Jaya One and PJ Live Arts as a collaboration of volunteers. The Breast Cancer Campaign 08 was graced by Senior State Executive Councilor Selangor Darul Ehsan, Y.B Ms Teresa Kok at Assunta Hospital.

As part of Assunta Hospital’s mission to serve the community, the hospital’s have embarked an active role to support the programme with the volunteers of the Passionately Pink campaign by providing medical service and professional advice. This programme is a platform for the hospital to create awareness and educate the community about breast cancer.

Come to the Passionately Pink – Know, Prevent, Cure campaign at Jaya One in support of Assunta Hospital on every weekend starting from 9th September 08 to 1st November 2008 for free breast check up and education of breast self examination.

Passionately Pink is a campaign design to celebrate the fighting spirit of breast cancer victims and survivors. It has something for everyone who wants to make a difference – and for every stage in your life.

All the campaign programmes are original, unique and cheeky. The main message to woman is “Don’t Duck a Breast Exam” or else you will be a sitting duck, said Choy Wah Wei, Chief Executive Officer Assunta Hospital .The Passionately Pink mascot is naturally a duck!

Other campaign messages include “Know, Prevent, Cure” and “ Are You Tough Enough to Wear Pink?” specifically to invoke even the masculine gender and general community to raise their awareness of breast cancer, to share in the knowledge of how to prevent breast cancer, and to find cure for it.

Passionately Pink is a collaboration between Assunta Hospital, Jaya One, Asia Assistance Network, an international medical and travel services company specializing in providing worldwide assistance, and PJ Live Arts as the project consultants.
