| What
it is |
|
This 3 year full-time course offers a sound educational background
for nursing practice. The course consists of both theoretical
information and practical experience. Upon completion the
student is awarded a Diploma of Nursing, and is registered
with the Malaysian Nursing Board as a State Registered Nurse
(SRN).
This preparation
enables the nurse to work in a wide variety of settings e.g.
different clinical areas in hospitals, community health centres,
nursing homes, industrial health clinics, sales and marketing
of health care products, etc.
There
are two intakes per year, namely in January and July.
Advertisement
for these courses will be published in major newspapers 2-3
months prior to the commencement of the courses.

| Entry
Requirements |
- 18
years and above.
- SPM
with 4 credits including Bahasa Malaysia or English, Mathematics,
one Science subject and one other subject.
- STPM
holders are encouraged to apply.

| Assistant
Nurse Certificate |
| This
two year full time course provides the student with basic
theoretical knowledge and practical skills in nursing, to
enable her to carry out basic nursing functions.
On completion
of the course the student is awarded an Assistant Nurse Certificate,
and is registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board as an Assistant
Nurse (AN).
